NYC Bus Trip, Cruise & Sightseeing – Tuesday, April 12

“New York is not a city – it’s a world.” — Iman

One of the major highlights of the Finland Exchange is our Bus Trip to New York City.

“I look out the window and I see the lights and the skyline and the people on the street rushing around looking for action, love, and the world’s greatest chocolate chip cookie, and my heart does a little dance.”
— Nora Ephron

Set for Tuesday, April 12 – this is a day packed with all things Big Apple. The cost of $75 per person covers your round trip bus ticket, a highly-rated boat tour of the island with Circle Cruises, and a free day of fun in the best city in the world (after Philadelphia and Helsinki, of course.)

Note: because we will be on and off a bus in the city throughout the day, and walking the streets, a parent chaperone is required on this trip.

Finland Exchange Day at the Flyers – Wednesday, April 13

Update: ticket sales have closed for this event. We will be sending out information on the event to those attending as soon as it is available.

We are excited to be offering exclusive and discounted tickets for the Flyers vs. Rangers game on Wednesday, April 13. And that’s not all we are doing… the kids are actually going to be able to take the ice, and we’re having our very own pre-game party inside the arena – plus an arena tour and special speakers and guests!

Please read this page and the FAQ document for all the info on this once-in-a-lifetime event!

You will have two options to attend:

  • The bus trip, with the pre-game skate, the in-arena party, and tickets to the game. $120 pp
  • Game tickets, which include tickets to the game and the in-arena party. $85 pp

A note about COVID-19 protocols in the city and the Wells Fargo Center

Because of the ongoing pandemic and concerns over the Coronavirus, we ask all who plan to attend this event to keep up-to-date on the requirements in the city and arena. The Flyers have made it easy; visit this page for the latest guidelines and information.

Our Plans for the Day – The Bus Trip

  • 1:00 p.m.
We board the bus at the Holiday Inn – Drexelbrook and head to the Wells Fargo Center. Once there, the Exchange Players will lace up their skates, put on their helmets, and get ready to take the ice!
  • 2:00 p.m.
The Exchange Players will take the Wells Fargo ice! Families can watch from the stands. This is a free skate session, it is not a game; no sticks are permitted. Please note: due to space limitations, only Exchange Players (Pee Wees and Bantams) can take the ice for this event.
  • 3:00 p.m.
Once off the ice, players and families will head to the East Food Hall for our exclusive Finland Exchange pre-game party. Food and drinks will be offered by several of the Wells Fargo vendors on a pay-as-you-go basis. We are working on a few surprises during this time, including entertainment for the kids.
  • 5:30 p.m.
Let’s head over to the ice to watch the pre-game warmup!
  • 7:00 p.m.
It’s game time – the Flyers will take on the New York Rangers. Go Flyers!
  • After the game
We board the buses for the ride back to Drexelbrook.

Oh, and did we mention…

Everyone who goes to the game is going to get a special “Finland Night at the Flyers” tee-shirt. But if you have tickets with the Finland Exchange, your tee shirt will be customized with our logos!
